The "tricks" below are tested and can improve your Adsense Earnings to 30% or more...

1- Make your adsense banner or links, related to your site content.
I know, any basic webmaster now, but still... some sites are not respecting this, they relate words like "TV" or "Car", for a Cooking site...
If you have a Cooking site for example, put Recipes Books ads, Kitchen material... or a guide of restaurants.
The important is to be related with the content of your website!

2- Positing your adsense banner or (and) links.
One of the most important steps here, is how to position your ads links and banners, in the image below you can see 3 link ads (728x15 with 5 links).
1 in the top, 1 below the header and 1 below the main content.
Why?
People usually dont like of publicitys, and almost never read then, when you put a link box in one of this position, create a illusion of a menu, that the people are most like to interact, they gonna now that is a adsense publicity, but they are most likely to read, and click...

The others adsense contents are in extremely visible positions, and can be find right away when you acess your site.

3- Dont use banners!

You can see in the image that i dont use banners, "ao contré", i used 4 Adsense Links Boxs (120x90 5 Links).
I put they on top and botton of the page, i have a litle bit of work to make 8 Adsense links boxs, but they worth every second.
I really dont now why, but is more likely to people interact with links and not with banners most part of the time...

That's a good secret or trick to use adsense in your site, some of my friends tested and get more then 20-50% with this tecnic.

4- Video on Main Page!

You have a site related with Movies, Music, Cars or anything else?
Why dont promote anothers sites related to that in video format?
Again, people are more likely to interact with videos then with common publicity, choose a good video tag, and come on! 

Dont need to put in every page, just the main! Some of my sites had more then 40% of interaction with my adsense video on main page.

5- Use banners on your posts!

Ok, i m contradicting my self... dont use adsense banners, use adsense banner...
But the important is, DONT USE BANNERS ON MAIN PAGES!

But when you are posting informations about a dog stronger then a shark or a car that can fly... its better to use a Adsense Banner, a Image Adsense Banner by the way...

Images are very common on posts, and easy to interact, if your banner is related with the post, most usually your audience will check the banner site.

6- Keep your site updated!

Ok, here is the big secret to earn ALOT with adsense, just keep your site updated, yeah... thats the big secret, people dont like to see the same thing all the time, so change it!

Use new things, and creat new stuff!
